MCB Introduction
MCB Bank Limited is a Pakistani multinational commercial bank based in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. The bank has an extensive network of 1,551 branches in Pakistan. Pakistani company Nishat Group and Malaysian bank Maybank hold majority stakes.
The bank was established to provide banking services to the business community of South Asia. The Adam G. Group incorporated it on July 9, 1947. The bank was nationalized in 1974 during Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s regime. It was the first bank to be privatized in 1991 and was bought by a consortium of Pakistani business groups led by the Nishat Group. As of June 2008, the Nishat Group holds a majority stake in the bank. The chairman of this bank is Shoaib Mumtaz.
Mian Muhammad is the Chairman of both Mansha Group and MCB. The group is in the country’s business sectors, such as banking, textiles, cement and insurance. The bank has established an Islamic banking unit to offer Shariah-compliant products and services, with specialized Islamic banking branches in six cities.
In 2005, the bank’s management changed its name from Muslim Commercial Bank Limited to MCB Bank Limited to explore international markets. It faced resistance to licensing, particularly from Western countries, because of the word Muslim. In 2008, the MCB head office was shifted from MCB Tower, Karachi to Lahore, to a newly constructed building, MCB House, located on Ghous-ul-Azam Street, commonly known as Jail Road.

RESPONSIBILITIES
An ATM (Automated Teller Machine) & switch are critical component of the payment infrastructure that enables transactions between banks, ATMs, and card networks.
The job description for an ATM & associated switch has some key responsibilities & potential candidate must possess hands on knowledge and working experience in the field of payment systems.
Candidate must have knowledge and working experience on:
- Processing and routing transactions: Manage and switch transactions between different banks, ATMs, and card networks (e.g., Visa, Mastercard, 1link PAyPak and other global schemes).
- Network management: knowing connectivity and communication between participating banks, ATMs, and networks.
- Transaction authorization and authentication: Able to Verify cardholder information, validate transactions within the system
- Monitoring and troubleshooting: Oversee system performance, identify issues, and perform maintenance tasks.
- Security and compliance: Implement and enforce security protocols and regulatory requirements (e.g., PCI-DSS).
- System updates and enhancements: Collaborate with development teams to implement new features and upgrades.
- Able to extend technical assistance within bank
- Collaboration with stakeholders: handy in working cross functional teams, good in communication and presentable at work.
- Problem solving skills w.r.t to payment system. Should be analytical and logical in thinking
- will conduct testing on ATM Switch/Terminals(ATM, CCDM, Digital Kiosks) in preparation for release of software

- The required candidate(s) must possess good understanding of software testing methodology and the software development life cycle specific to ATM Switch / Terminals.
- The candidate(s) will be required to analyze business requirements and specifications, design and execute tests, record, and report results, and generate defect records.
- The primary objective for this candidate will be to drive the testing process through development and execution of test scenarios, as well as regression testing and problem reporting.
- This position would also support the development team through diagnosis of issues and problem recreation. Issue tracking and communication are expected, as well as reporting the status of test coverage for assigned projects
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
